NEW Download - Here we go again…. spooky synchro
December 2, 2003
Okay… we got a lot of requests to make a download of this terrific film - so here it is… The Battle of Algiers is now available as mpeg files for download. Really creepy and depressing stuff… especially in today’s terror alert elevated status world. Knock yourselves out kids… the files are big, total 1.9 gig, so get some download software to make it easier. The monster file is still uploading… should be ready in 90 minutes… patience please. And yes… Frank is glad you liked you his kid with the coke hat pic. In case you missed his secret hidden agenda conspiracy theory in your face message…. Frank thinks the title of this movie should be The Buvez Coca Cola Battle of Algiers.
One of the weirdest things about working here at LikeTelevision…. is this really bizarre irony that we like to call - synchronicity. Basically - here’s the deal… entertainment that gets featured on the front page at LikeTelevision… or just ready to post as a new addition to the library… is somehow really freaky with fresh news that happens within a few hours or days of the posting. Like what you ask… The list is endless… and I do mean endless… but here’s an example from yesterday. On the front page yesterday - Dec. 1, 2003 - The Battle of Algiers was the featured content on our front page. And then… here’s what happened in the real world… (an excerpt lifted from Instapundit, which picked up the story from here).
For a second day, French soldiers fired tear gas and stun grenades into the crowd, which started gathering on Monday at the base in Ivory Coast’s commercial capital, Abidjan.
Pro-government militias also delivered an ultimatum on Tuesday to the French: French peacekeepers had until 8pm on Tuesday to withdraw from the West African nation’s ceasefire lines.
If not, militia leaders and youth groups said, their fighters would open attacks on the estimated 16 000 French civilians and 4 000 French troops living in Ivory Coast.
“All that is French will be attacked,” pledged Narcisse N’Depo, a youth leader outside the French military base.
More comments about this movie can be found in the blog archive search. Anyway… stuff like this has happened so many times in the past, that it is less creepy than it used to be. Want more examples… just keep tuning into the LikeTelevision Menu page @ tesla… I am sure it will happen again sometime sooner than you think.
