Gone on Vacation - Happy 4th of July

July 3, 2003

Gone Fishing…. back on Monday July 14th

Howdy LikeTelevision subscribers and guests… Just wanted to let you know that I am going to take a vacation for the July 4th holiday. Why should you care, you say? Well I’m the guy who helps with the tech problems, cancel difficulties, pay pal problems, changes of emails, lost passwords… etc etc etc. So if you have a problem between July 4th and July 13th… you will just have to be patient, I need a break and I’m taking one. But rest assured - you are among friends, I’ll be back shortly to resolve all your troubles as best I can when I return Monday July 14th… with like a couple thousand emails waiting… arrrgh… sigh… Of course I am assuming that I won’t be swallowed by a giant fish while I’m windsurfing far away from all these pressing matters…. but it’s a pretty safe bet.

Have a great July 4th holiday yourself, and thank you for your patience and support. See ya…

time to throw the boards on the woody and head out to the shore…. :~)

Marionette Expertise

Mainstring Theater - So Cool!

Bruno and Darlene Frascone have been plying their craft for over 30 years. Not only reviving a lost performance art, but taking it to new extremes. Story, finesse, detail, music and well… love and that makes their live performance art a must see experience. Hey man, watch this. You just might be blown away by the world’s greatest marionette operators. The Frascones create all their marionettes, a process which takes an expert about 6 months or more to complete. There’s a balance that optimum for a character, and that balance is acheived by using different woods, with different densities (and weights). The weights of each piece selected are balanced in a similar way to our own human form. This attention to detail gives their puppets an edge, they are more natural grace whenever they move - and the details of character, and how they come to life is too cool. They come to all the way from France, where they are considered national treasure - in honor of the skill they bring to bear on the craft, and the joy they leave with their audience.

Learn More about the Frascones. We suggest you watch this first - so you can get a better view of many of their most remarkable characters.

Granny and the Dog - very cool. That dog is so good!

The Broom Lady - a wild old lady on a Harley Broom. Insane plot, FX and funny.

The Girl and the Clown - major sweetness…. ahhhh. Get some.
